heat wave!

9 months later. everything's still moving: some things grew, some things stayed the same, new things came, old things left, but it's all good!

From the first day I met you, I knew there was something there. Maybe it was the khaki pants or your long black hair.

We talked about nextels and I let you copy off me in class, little did i know you were always staring at my ass.

We were always together and liked to "hang ten" a lot, but i always hated those times when we had silly arguments and fought...

Thankfully we always got over the bad things we went through, for that reason I knew our friendship was always true.

when all else fails...'getaway hobby'

everybody goes through rough times in life. what makes people different is how they go about in the 'overcoming process'. it is an extremely tough process, especially if you are not used to it. a great way to start is to bring yourself to a calm and serene mood, so that you can properly gather your thoughts without interruption.

in my own personal experience, i find myself at peace when i go about my hobby. when times are rough and i need a little getaway, i turn to my hobby. staring at my aquarium and performing the regular husbandry on it calms me down and gives me a chance to recollect on the issue at hand and gather my thoughts. my hobby not only makes me happy but also gives me a chance to be environmental. my hobby is being a 'reefer'.
(Reefer, an aquarium hobbyist term for one who maintains and cultivates corals, sea anemones, and other invertebrates associated with coral reefs)
ever since i was young, i loved to watch fish swim in aquariums. i was able to stare at them for hours without getting bored. so of course, as i got older, i became more serious about the hobby and took it home with me. by doing so, i gave myself the the opportunity to be able to stare at my reef tank all day... i have been keeping reefs for sometime now and i still learn something new every time i hit the forums... all the hard work i put into my aquarium always pays off every time i look at it.

what's YOUR 'getaway hobby' ?

p.s. this is ONE of my getaways...

keep your head up

although mixed with plenty of laughter and happy moments, this week has been a rough week. the mood and emotions can easily be manipulated, but stubbornness has gotten in the way. both sides are being stubborn and nobody wants to give in. another dilemma is finding a friend to vent to. nowadays finding someone trustworthy and stand a neutral position can be very difficult; especially for a person who is not used to turning to others for answers. it is usually the others that come for help.

stop, think and listen...

all problems are surrounded by solutions. all traps entails an escape route.

strength, love and determination will prevail. keep your head up!

love

Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection and attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure to intense interpersonal attraction. This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states. use it wisely...
